What we're looking for...

We’re a growing, hands-on tree surgery and timber business based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
We work hard, do things properly, and take pride in leaving sites safe, clean, and better than we found them.

We’re currently looking for three roles to support our next stage of growth:

Personal Assistant (PA)
Junior Groundworker
Experienced Tree Climber

Personal Assistant (PA)

Part-time | Flexible hours | Remote / Hybrid

The role

This role supports the day-to-day running of the business, allowing site work to run smoothly. You’ll be working directly with the owner and will quickly become a key part of the operation.

Responsibilities

Managing emails and phone enquiries
Booking jobs and organising the diary
Invoicing and basic admin
Liaising with customers and suppliers
Keeping records organised (quotes, invoices, job details)

What we’re looking for

Highly organised and reliable
Confident communicating with customers
Comfortable with email, spreadsheets, and basic admin tools
Able to work independently and use common sense
Previous PA or admin experience preferred, but not essential

This role suits someone who:

Likes order and structure
Is proactive rather than reactive
Enjoys helping a small business grow

Junior Groundworker

Full-time | On-site | Training provided

The role

This is an entry-level position for someone looking to build a career in tree surgery and outdoor work.

You’ll be working on active sites alongside experienced arborists and learning the trade properly - not just labouring.

Responsibilities

Assisting with tree work on site
Handling brash, logs, and timber
Site clean-up and maintenance
Supporting climbers and saw operators
Learning safe working practices and equipment handling

What we’re looking for

Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weather
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Driving licence preferred (not essential)

Experienced Tree Climber

Freelance or employed | Competitive rates

The role

We’re looking for a competent, experienced climber who can work confidently on domestic and commercial jobs.

You’ll need to be comfortable working to a high standard, representing the business professionally on site.

Requirements (essential)

Relevant climbing and chainsaw tickets
Proven climbing experience
Own climbing kit and PPE
Valid driving licence
Strong understanding of health & safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable

Additional tickets (MEWP, rigging, aerial rescue refreshers)
Experience with timber reuse or milling
Good communication with clients on site
